Case Study – Investment and Wealth Management (Quality Assurance)
Description:
Customer is a recognized leader in the providing Investment and Wealth Management services in USA. Customer has provided investment banking services for a wide variety of customers. Customer currently provides services in 20 states, manages over $200 million investments, has 500+ employees spread across different locations in US.
Situation:
Customer wanted to build a QA team to test their HR portal which was built on SharePoint Technology for employees to login and update their personal, emergency contact, dependent and payroll information. Employees have ability to submit vacation requests, see their pay check history upload documents, approve vacation requests, submit timesheets and many more HR functions i.e annouments, discussion boards etc.
Solution:
Paragyte created a team of quality assurance experts, we got the business requirement documents as high level design as well as wireframes, while the project was under development we created “Test Plan” and “Test Scripts”. When the build was out QA team deployed it and ran the test scripts.
Part of the function were automated using QTP automation tool. It was a mix of automation and manual testing. Automation scripts we scheduled to run overnight.
Bugs were logged into task management tool and assigned to appropriate developer and once fixed these were retested and closed.
